Confirm the input color space expected by the LUT. A creative Rec.709 LUT applied directly to Log footage will usually look wrong unless the footage is normalized first.
Use the converter preview, curves and cube view to inspect whether the LUT clips highlights, crushes shadows, swaps channels or expects a different input range.
Load the downloaded `.cube`, `.3dl` or Hald image, inspect the preview, then export a normalized copy in the format your application expects.
For Hald workflows, use the identity Hald downloads on the main tool page, edit without resizing, and convert the resulting PNG back to `.cube` or `.3dl`.
